SERVICE REPAIR
We repair all IKONIX instruments that are in production, as well as instruments that have been out of production for less than 5 years. Our ability to repair instruments that have been out of production for more than 5 years is subject to parts availability. All repairs include standard calibration. If ISO calibration is required, turnaround time will be extended depending on the current service situation.
How to report a device for repair?
- Please fill out the RMA form and send it to: service@hik-consulting.pl
- After receiving the completed form, we will send you a message with the address for shipping the device and the RMA document with the RMA order number. Please do not send the device before receiving the RMA number.
- Then, please read the sent RMA document and RMA label. Please send the device with the RMA label and RMA document visible - please attach the documents to the outside of the packaging.
- By sending us the completed RMA form, the customer accepts the cost of non-warranty repair, which is given on the following page
- After the service is completed, we will inform you about the next steps regarding the return of products.

- Shipping to HIK-Consulting is your responsibility and expense. If costs continue to arise, an invoice will be issued - by sending your device, you accept this agreement.
Notes on older models:
We cannot service, calibrate or repair instruments that have been retired for more than 10 years.
For any instrument we receive that is physically damaged or has been grossly misused, an additional fee of €200.00 will be charged on top of the flat-rate repair price, provided the instrument is deemed repairable.
Please note that if you are shipping the equipment from a non European Union country, make sure to attach the commercial invoice/ Pro-Forma Invoce o the shipment. Invoice needs to include the following information:
• The model of all shipped products including the serial number(s).
• HS Code (taric code)
• Description of the products
• Please state that products are shipped for repair/calibration purposes.
• Please state the value of the products for customs purposes. If the value differs a lot from the real value of the products, in case of customs inspection HIK-CONSULTING should not be responsuble for penalty reasons.
• Incoterm: DAP (HIK-CONSULTING will assume the import VAT costs, and will recharge you any other possible import charges).
RMA REQUEST FORM
The completed form should be sent by e-mail to the following address:: service@hik-consulting.pl
After receiving the completed form, we will send you a message with the address for shipping the device and the RMA document with the RMA order number. Please do not send the device before receiving the RMA number.
- For repair services, please provide as much detail as possible about the fault.
- After sending, please wait for the document with the RMA number and the delivery address of the shipment and do not forget to include a copy of the RMA document with the shipment.
- By sending us the completed RMA form the customer accepts the non-warranty repair cost listed on this page (repair Purchase Order).
- Please ensure that the equipment is packed safely and securely - preferably in the original packaging.
- For equipment out of warranty, if the repair estimate is rejected, an investigation fee will be charged. If during the evaluation process it turns out that the warranty has been invalidated, you will be informed and receive a repair estimate.
- Please send the tracking number of the shipment you ordered after receiving the RMA number
- Shipping to HIK-Consulting is done at your own risk and expense. If costs still apply, we will issue an invoice

To send in your instrument for calibration, you'll need to fill out a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form.

SAFE AND PROPER PACKAGING
To properly pack your instrument, please follow the instructions below. Improper packaging can cause damage during shipping. HIK-CONSULTING is not responsible for any damage incurred during shipping. It is recommended to insure the shipment with a shipping company in case of damage during shipping.
Please keep the original packaging of the instruments
All devices sent for Calibration or repairs should be delivered in their original or equivalent packaging. Particular care should be taken when packing heavy measuring devices. A layer of durable cushioning material should be at least 5 cm thick on all sides around the device. The whole thing must be packed in a durable cardboard box. In the absence of such packaging, it can be ordered from the Courier. Accessories appropriate for the device should be included in the shipment, including test leads and INTERLOCK protection.
We reserve the right to refuse to accept a device for repair if it is sent in improper packaging.
If the packaging in which the device is delivered is too weak or damaged, then the device can be packed in a new transport packaging and the cost of this operation will be transferred to the User (approx. PLN 400). If the device is improperly packed, damage may occur during transport, in which case HIK-CONSULTING is not responsible for any damage caused during transport. Please also remember to insure the shipments for the duration of transport. The cost of diagnostics for a device sent for paid repair is PLN 500. In the event of acceptance of the proposed repair cost estimate, the cost of diagnostics is not charged. Each device that reaches our Service Department is cleaned inside and out before calibration or repair and before being sent back to the Customer.
We hope that the Devices sent to our service will also be pre-cleaned on the outside before being packed for shipping.
Factory packaging or equivalent: with an appropriate thickness of cushioning material, e.g. foam, min. 5 cm on all sides.
